No matter how many weddings I shoot, I always find myself choking up and feeling the emotions that my clients are experiencing as they go through the amazing joys of their wedding day. Michael and Sheila’s was no different. From the moment Sheila put her dress on, and began to tear up, through to the end of the night when her grandpa asked to get up out of his wheelchair and have at least one dance with his granddaughter (it was very touch and go right up to the very last minute if he would even be in good enough health to make it to the wedding…), Michael and Sheila’s big day was filled with some incredibly emotional moments. We visited Leavitt’s Ice Cream shop where they went on their first date, we went to a fire hall (as Michael and Sheila do in Robert Munsch’s “The Fire Station”), and we had an amazing party at the Irish Cultural Center with everyone up dancing.
Its these memories, the personal moments, that I am always striving to capture for clients. These are photos that will instantly bring them back to that moment, and help them relive all of the awesomeness that was their wedding day.
